About this talk

"Businesses across the North West are eligible for support through Eco-I North West, a £14m business R&D programme offering long and short term technical support, workshops, business networking and capital grants to businesses across England’s North West.

We believe what is better for business should also be better for the environment. Which is why we’ve opened up such a huge resource to SMEs – the region’s leading universities. Together we can achieve more and Eco-I NW is supporting low carbon business innovations across the region.

Join this event to hear from businesses already working in collaboration with universities, how this works, the benefits and the challenges. We will also be launching our capital grant scheme giving businesses match funded grants of up to £25,000 to support the development of technical innovations.

We are not led by specific technologies, but instead are driven by business needs and can facilitate a collaborative approach to problem solving. Each institution offers a different set of expertise, equipment and resource which we are opening up to businesses.

Eco-NW is delivered by a consortium of universities; Lancaster, Central Lancashire, Cumbria, Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores and Manchester Met, and follows 8 years of award winning and successful collaborative R&D activities. Eco-I NW is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund."
